Begin your evening on a quiet country porch. Settle into comfy wicker furniture and treat your taste buds to refreshingly cold ice tea and homemade delights. Take in all the beauty around you.......
Relax and enjoy Vermont as it was truly meant to be....slow and easy. Breathe in the fresh country air.... or sit in a gazebo with glider chairs and simply unwind.................
Next you will be escorted by Tex and Spruce, our gorgeous team of Draft horses, pulling our elegant French Vis a Vis carriage. Vis a Vis means seats facing each other....Perfect for socializing.....
Take a journey back in time as Tex and Spruce take you on a breathtakingly scenic ride along the shores of Lake Champlain. Hooves clip clopping, birds chirping in the distance, and waves washing onto the shoreline. These are some of the sounds you might hear....
A special table is reserved just for you at the waters edge, at the 'North Hero Marina', on an open air deck. You will dine on a light dinner..........and you may just feel, like you are relaxing in paradise......
After a leisurely dinner....Tex and Spruce will pick you up and once again delight your eyes and senses to the unmistakable beauty of Lake Champlain.
Your evening will be complete at Island Carriage Farm with refreshments and coffee. Help us brush Tex and Spruce as we tuck them in for the night...........if you wish.

BABYSITTING:
Our daughter Necola just graduated from High
School and is on her way to college this fall. She has been babysitting in the
community since she was 11 and she is CPR certified.
A carriage ride is meant to be truly relaxing and allow you to 'step back in time'. Often it is too boring for kids and they don't enjoy it and therefore.......Mom and Dad don't get to enjoy it. If you would like to leave your children with Necola she will entertain them and keep them happy while you relax. She charges 10.00 per hour for up to 2 children. Please let us know if you need this service at the time you make your carriage reservation so that we can try to accommodate you.
